Anytime you see the word photo in the name of a resource pack, you can be sure that there is an outstanding level of detail coming your way. That is certainly the case for the Mainly Photo Realism Resource Pack. This pack has been designed with textures that are created from real photos to bring an outstanding level of detail to the Minecraft world. Whenever you are working with phot-realistic textures, you know that there will be a level of realism that is not common to the feeling of Minecraft. The game is built off of undetailed 8-bit textures. This is the definition of Minecraft, but it is not the limitations of the game. With the Mainly Photo Realism pack, you will take Minecraft to a new level of detail and precision, while remaining true to the overall themes of the Vanilla version. All of the new, extremely realistic block designs have been made in respect to the vision and theme of the default game. Cobblestone looks like realistic cobble and sand looks like realistic sand. Gamers will find themselves immersed in a new world of detail and clarity that seems so different from their first time playing Minecraft. The developers were pushed by the goal to bring a feeling of a realistic environment into the game for those that are interested in upgrading.
One guarantee that can be made about realistic resource packs is that they will be operating at a higher native resolution. This means that this resource pack is designed to run at the high 128x or 246x resolution options for Minecraft. These resolution levels are extremely demanding on computers and gamers with outdated machines will find that they cannot run this resource pack smoothly. Those with high-end machines will be able to run this graphically demanding resource pack with no changes to overall performance and FPS. With a combination of shaders for lighting, water, and shadows, you can be sure that you will have a remarkably realistic Minecraft experience like no other.
